Please comment my setup

This would be my first self-built PC, a mid-range gaming one I guess.

And this is the case...

I'll eventually be uprgrading the RAM/speakers when I get the money, so those aren't final. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

When I click on your Newegg link I get this: "Your wish list Detail is empty."

Go with the EVGA 6800GS 179.99 from EVGA. Hurry because theres rebates ending 31st of january.

Monitor.... go with the BenQ19 LCD monitor. its worth spending a little more because a monitor is a good investment 235 dollars. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824014090

and about the CDRW and DVDROM... why don't you just go with one drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827152058 includes everything you want and even more.

About the case, I'm worried that the quality can be an issue and I don't think their power supplies are really that up to the job...

Instead go with this:
Thermaltake 430watt power supply: includes PCI express power connector and SATA connectors.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119068

That should sum it up. Everything else looks fine.

Look at the Seagate or Western Digital hard drives with the 16Mb caches, faster and not much more cost.
Antec or Enermax would be good power supply choices.
Liteon burners are pretty good and come with the burning software.
You might need a floppy drive at some point in the setup.
You will need to get an operating system. The OEM version of Windows XP with SP2 will be fine unless you need some specific feature of XP Pro.
Check the RAM against the list at the motherboard makers site or use the RAM manufacturers configurator to be sure it is a compatable part number.

That Thermaltake PSU is not good enough, even though it does have a 24 pin and PCI-E connector. It's only got a single 18a +12v rail. The 450w XClio is a much better bet.
