Help a newb build a kickin' new computadora
Hey, I just wanted a few masters to look over this build before I go ahead and order everything (from Newegg of course). This would be my first one, so if you see anything wrong or just have some suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. Anyways, here is what it's looking like right now:

Thanks in advance.

Looks pretty good. Don't forget the OS and a keyboard and mouse.

The ONLY suggestion I have is get something other than a Samsung optical drive. They are not known for durability. I also assume you are connecting wireless to a D-Link router? I usually recommend a brand matchup here for easiest configuration.

I might go for a different burner brand then. I don't have a good sense of brands, any suggestions of a good, reasonably priced DVD burner?
In terms of the wireless card, I kinda just threw that one in the basket at the end without much thought. We recently got a new router, a U.S. Robotics Maxg, and we almost got a new adapter to go with it, but it's been fine so far. Since this is a new machine though, there is no sense in not staying with the same brand. U.S. Robotics USR5417 PCI Wireless MAXg 125Mbps PCI Adapter - Retail Thanks for the pointers! |

Good, reasonably priced burner - Lite-On, NEC, Pioneer.
Good choice, matching up the MaxG. The enhancements over 54mbps aren't compatible cross-brand. |

Ok, here is the new drive.
Pioneer Black IDE DVD Burner Model DVR-110DBK - OEM If it looks good otherwise, then I will probably order it in the next couple of days. Thanks again! |

If that drive doesn't come with software, be prepared to buy some.
