1st build

This is my first build and i hope it's all compatible. I will be using this to play kotor 2, COD 2, kotor, fable LC, and original call of duties. My step mom will be using this to do taxes for all her clients and my dad will just surf the internet.budget 1000

Looks good, however, I don't see a need to get a dual core. I would get an Intel 630 (or even a 640) - that should work just fine. My suggestion would be to do that, and then get the Antec Sonata II as it also comes with a good quality 450W power supply. After you do that, you might be able to upgrade the video card a little bit. (6800GS maybe).

I would go ahead and get a DVD-Burner for $10-$15 more...

For another $17, you could upgrade that hard drive to a 250Gb with a 16Mb cache.
The extra room might come in handy and it will be faster than the 8Mb cache one that you linked.
