I have heard bad things about Tiger Direct. They don't have good selections and their service is horrible. www.newegg.com has great selections and good service. Also, it wouldn't hurt to price shop. You might also look at www.zipzoomfly.com...
An ASUS A8N-E or A8N5X might be a better choice. ABIT's are OK, but they can be finiky to set up. Corsair Value Select is a better choice. It's about $15 cheaper at Newegg, and Kingston have had some quality control issues lately. The Power supply definitely isn't going to cut it. If you want to have any type of stability with that, you need quality dual 12V rails - that Thermaltake is only a single. I'd look at Antec's power supplies. You can get a floppy drive for about half that. I don't see any need to get a "Premium" floppy drive. An 8 buck one will do what you need it to do. I would not buy a refurb hard drive - spend a few more bucks and get a new one. As for the CPU and video card, I would consider getting a 3700+ and a 6800GT. That will give you better gaming performance than a 4000+ and a 6800. I don't think a $30 sound card will give you any better sound or performance over the onboard sound. Try the onboard sound first. You don't need a CPU fan - there's one packaged with the Retail CPU. Not using the one packaged will void the warranty. I would go ahead and get a DVD-Burner for a few more bucks. LITE-ON and NEC make good ones. Don't forget your OS. Win XP Home OEM is around $90. EDIT: Here's a $1000 gaming rig I just speced out for someone the other day: Antec LifeStyle SONATA II Piano Black Computer Case (w/450W Antec power supply) - Retail ASUS A8N5X Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Processor Model ADA3700BNBOX - Retail ASUS EN6800GT/2DT/256MB Geforce 6800GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory Model VS1GBKIT400 - Retail Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 ST3200826AS 200GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive - OEM LITE-ON Black ATAPI/E-IDE DVD Burner Model SHW-160P6S - Retail Microsoft Windows XP Home With SP2 - OEM NEC Beige 1.44MB 3.5" Floppy Drive - OEM
