New FX-60?Or teh cheaper 4800+ X2?
im planning to build a pc...wanna know if i should blow 1k on a FX-60 or get a way cheaper 4800 x2....

I wouldn't waste my money on the FX-60...that's just me though. At the most, I'd get the 4800+ X2, I doubt there is a substantial performance difference between the two, not enough to justify the $500 price difference.

If you can afford the FX-60, as in your rich, you got nothing to lose. The 4800+ is still pretty expensive, these exponential prices are crazy. Save money forgett the two and go something lower.

hmmm looked a a benchmark.....whoa....the 4800 bet the new intel dual in most of the test the did....lol

I would go with the x2 4800. I made the jump for one of the fancy FX processors a while ago, and now I am kinda wishing I hadn't spent so much cash on the CPU and downgraded to a slower chip and OverClocked it to FX speeds.
Eitherway, if you are building a Gaming Computer, and have a limited budget - don't spend extra cash on the CPU, spend it on the Video Card(s) and Quality Hardware.
