How many case fans you got in there?
What kind of system temps are you seeing? Try running the computer with the sides off and have a small fan blowing into the case and see if the same problem occurs or not. Cricket

Is your video card overclocked? Have you tried running it at stock speeds?
How old is the monitor? What brand is the monitor? Cricket

I've heard of problems like this before and it turned out to be a faulty motherboard. The motherboard might be slowly heating up over an hour and the expansion might be causing one of the solder joints to open a bit and the problem occurs. Just a thought.
