What does this mean
When looking at the spec sheet of this PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817711002
For fans it says 5. Does that mean it has 5 power connections for various fans or does the PSU itself have 5 fans. Also, if I buy a mobo with a 24 pin power connector do I have the option of of buying a 24 pin PSU as well the 20+4 connector, or is the 20+4 used for something else. I've read some stuff that lead me believe that I could buy either but that people had a lot of issues with the 20+4 connector. Thanks. |

The PSU does not have 5 fans. That would be 5 power connections for fans, I assume.
If you buy a 24 pin MOBO then by all means get a 24 pin PSU. |

Either a 24 or a 20+4 will work fine. Just make sure it's a quality unit. The issues are with the low priced units where they just put the +4 on as an afterthought to get compatibility.
