Where is the BIOS??
Hi,
I have built my first pc but I have an issue - when i switch on the monitor brings nothing onscreen whatsoever. I have checked the monitor itself, it works. The pc makes one beep when i switch on and then after a while another beep. All the fans whir up, but no bios or post screen. Any ideas?? edit** Have a tip of removing graphics card and seeing if it is overriding mainboard or anything like that. Will this work?? |

Welcome to PCMech. As for your tip, does the motherboard have onboard graphics? Then you could try it without the graphics card. If not, you'll have no video output w/o the graphics card plugged in.
A good troubleshooting guide can be found HERE. Follow HAL's step-by-step to see if that helps to isolate the problem.
