Should i Upgrade or not?

Currently my computer isn't really keeping up in all the games and other stuff that i need to do. so i was thinking about upgrading, but theres sooo many problems im coming up with.
My mobo has an AGP slot, so i thought about just upgrading the video card, but then my current PSU does not support any other better video cards. so then i have to upgrade my PSU too. i might as well go and upgrade my mobo too. but i feel like waiting for the new mobos for the new socket for AMD to come out. if i do that i gotta get a new CPU also. I'm also starting to run out of space on my hard drive, so i thought about getting 4 brand new hard drives so i can do data striping(is that whats it called?).

should i just wait and just get a whole new system instead?

Well, you have entered the "Upgrade Zone" where an upgrade of one part leads to an upgrade of another and so on and so on. Sounds like your best bet is to save up for a new build and use what you can from the old machine.

I would agree with the others. When you look at what the cost to upgrade is vs. what it would cost for a new system, it might be better to wait until you can afford a new system.

I advise against the waiting phase. Usually what comes out is expensive, so unless you're waiting for a price drop on other items, I'd say buy now.

I bought a winchester core about a year ago, and everyone's like nonononoo wait for venice....then nonononoo wait for San Diego. While they may have been a smidge better, I wouldnt be able to tell $100 difference in performance.

To answer your question, I think a whole new rig sounds like what you should do.
