Exclamation Weird sounds at boot-up

I have recently install all new components on my pc. (Motherboard, CPU, ram and vid card) It booted up and ran fine for a month now. then all of a sudden whenever I turn on my pc, it makes a louder noise, almost sounds like a fan grinding, but I cant make out the sound. It does go away after idling for a while after windows is loaded. I am not sure what to do to fix this noise, or if this noise is harmless or harmful. Please, if anyone knows anythign about this or can help me I will aprreicate it MOST GREATLY.

Thanks

Open up the case and find the source of the noise first. Use a rolled-up piece of paper to isolate the noise if you have to.

There is no way to know whether it is unimportant or bad without isolating it. It could be a temperature-controlled fan somewhere that runs only on startup or when the temperature gets too high.

I just turned my pc off and waited a few minutes and there was no sound. I believe the sound just occurs when it is a cold boot when there has been a few hours in between from the last shutdown. I that narrows it down to any possibilites, idk

It's a fan getting ready to fail. You have to isolate it to which fan it is and replace it.

Same things happens to two of my fans. *If* there is no indication that they are going to fail any time soon, therefore I have narrowed down issues like these to changes in temperature. When booting up cold, most chipset fans run slower than normal because they don't need to do a lot of work. Perhaps the slowing spining sets it slightly off balance and it grinds against its casing. However, at the same time it could be a fan read to bite the dust and you would need to replace it.
