I would get 1 gig of RAM for now and a faster video card (you can always add another gig later). This is all assuming this is a gaming rig.
Don't use that power supply - the quality is questionable. Get something from a reputable company such as Antec, Enermax, FSP, Seasonic, to name a few. I would suggest getting an ASUS A8N5X (or A8N-E) - it's about half as much, much easier to work with (DFIs are nice, but they can be quirky). Besides, you don't need SLI with an ATi card. Again, you could splurge on a faster video card or that 2 gigs of RAM. As for the internet, how many computers are hooked up to the internet now?

That power supply doesn't look like it can handle the rest of the sytem. You will need an ATX 2.0 PSU or an SLI certified psu if he wants the option of adding a second video card. You have an ATI video card listed. If you stick with that get a non-SLI motherboard and save some cash. Hard drive and burner are good. RAM is good. but check the list at the motherboard makers site or use Corsairs configurator to be sure you order a compatible part number.

What if you get RAM that isn't on the Corsair configurator list? I ordered the A8N5X mobo with Corsair VS1GBKIT400C3 1GB Kit DDR400 PC3200 CAS3 Value Select RAM. That is not on the list. Should I be worried?
