Memory

What is the difference in Cas latency in memory and does it matter if it is different from the modules that i have in my computer now?

CAS latency has to do with the number of clock ticks it takes for your RAM to access the data required and pass it on. The lower the CAS numbers the faster, relatively speaking, your RAM is. As for different types, that depends on your motherboard. Mobos that support DDR SDRAM can only use DDR SDRAM, and mobos that support DDR2 SDRAM can only use DDR2 SDRAM. As for the speed of the RAM (ex. DDR2 666 MHz) you can effectively use RAM of any speed up to the speed designated for your board.

So if i origanally had 2 corsair value select modules with one cas latency and add 2 with another, both DDR, will there be any problems?

I don't believe there would be any problems, unless you're trying to use dual channel RAM, then in that case you need to make sure that the other two sticks are exactly the same in speed (and type if you really wanna make sure they work together ok, but not necessary). How many slots do you have on your board?

I have 4 slots and currently have 2 of them filled with 512MB modules, and want to add 2 more, but i didint remember what cas latency they were.

What modules are you planning to put in? Also do you know if your board supports Dual Channel RAM? If it has four banks then it probably does, but don't take my word for it.
