Booting Issues: Motherboard, RAM or HD Probelms??

I installed a new motherboard over the weekend. I can get into set-up and check that all the hardware is identified, but beyond that I can see that the drivers are being loaded, but just before the Windows XP Logo presents itself, the system reboots. Any ideas?? Could one of the RAM mods be bad?
Gigabyte Motherboard GA-8IPE1000-G Rev 4 - even loaded the latest Bios Rev 5
Intel P4 1.6G 400Mhz 256cache 478 pin
DDR266 - 1-512 and 2- 256

From what I've read, the motherboard is flexible to handle the P4 Willamette and the DDR 266, but I do plan to upgrade to P4 2.4 Northwood, and DDR 400.

Did you perhaps migrate your hard drive from the old pc to the new parts? If so, that's your problem. XP is looking for the old hardware because those drivers are still installed. If you have a full XP cd (not a Restore Disk), you can do a Repair Install by booting to the XP cd and following the guide here:

You'll then need to load the mobo drivers and do all your Windows Updates.
