Warning! System had reset due to Overclock.
Hey everyone.
Using help on this forum I managed to detect/replace a busted PSU, figure out Power switch was not working (using power reset switch). I wire everything together and it actual fires up!! When the CPU boots, I see a screen with the following messages. Processor: AMD Sempron 2200+ Mb: 256Mb PrimaryMaster: WDC ... PrimarySlave: None SecondaryMaster: COMBO ... SecondarySlave: None Floppy disk(s) fail CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded Warning! System had reset due to overclock setting. Please re-enter CPU setting in CMOS setup and remember to save. F8 - Enable System config F9 - Select boot device after POST F1 - cont DEL - to enter setup ------------------ Questions 1) What do I do next? 2) Is that overclock message normal. If I didn't see that overclock message I would do the following, Enter BIOS setup and switch the boot disk to my CD-rom, and start loading my OS. |

Press DEL, enter the bios and make sure your cpu is properly recognized and is running at the correct fsb. Also check your memory. Make sure it too is properly recognized and running at the correct speed. Save and changes and proceed with the OS install.
