Your spending way to much on memory. You are building a low end system
with performance memory. |

The PSU is questionable. It only has 1 12V rail with 18A on it. Look for a dual rail unit from a quality brand like Antec or Enermax.

I would switch out that power supply for something with higher quality. Take a look at this Antec: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103935
The memory you chose is also a higher rating than your board uses. You need DDR2 667. Also, go with Value ram, the XMS is only for overclocking. Lastly, is the video card from your old system PCI-Express? If it's not you'll need a new card.

Even DDR2 667 is way overkill - that processor is only 533 FSB, even DDR2 533 is faster than it will use, DDR2 400 is the best match but not widely available. Corsair Value Select DDR2 533 is all you need. Remember that Intel processors are quad pumped, the ram is only double pumped.
You need a video card, that motherboard does not have onboard video. That power supply is garbage. It's worth the extra bucks to get a 800 FSB processor, DDR2 533 is still the best match. |
