Help with getting mother board in order!

Hi all. I've tried the "take out motherboard and set up using bare minimum" tactic with no luck. No visual even though I've tried to seat the ram and video card many different times. I just checked the qualified vendors list for my motherboard (ASUS A8N-SLI Premium) and the ram I bought is not listed (Corsair Twin2048-3200), though another similiar brand is (Corsair Twin2048-3200c2). Could this be the reason why I'm getting absolutely no visual? Or can BIOS setup display even without ram installed? Also, for reference I'm using a Geforce 6800GS.

I know that was a lot but any support would be welcomed!

No the PC can not do anything without ram installed. Hook up the PC speaker and see if you get any beep codes when you try to bot up the PC.

Have you tried 1 ram module all by itself, and have you tried clearing the cmos??

I think you are down to incompatable ram or faulty motherboard or processor.

Hmm...Well the mother board is lighting up so I don't know if that makes a difference... I believe the obvious answer at this point is the ram so I guess I should get on replacing that.

What power supply are you using? Does it have the 24 pin motherboard power connector? Did you plug in all power connections on the motherboard?
