Just want everyone's blessings!

Hi guys, can you please let me know if the following components go ok with each other, any ideas are appreciated, thanks in advance,

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 640 "LGA775 Prescott" 3.2GHz (800FSB) with HT Technology

Hard Drive: Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 10 NCQ 300GB 6V300F0 SATA-II 16MB Cache

MotherBoard: MSI 955X Platinum (LGA775) PCI-Express Motherboard

CPU Cooler: Gigabyte G-Power Silent Blue Light (Socket A/754/939/478/775) Cooler

GPU: HIS Excalibur ATI Radeon X800 GTO ICEQII TURBO 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express)

Memory: Crucial 1GB (2x512MB) DDR2 PC5300 667MHz Ballistix Dual Channel Kit

CD-DVD Combo: LiteOn SOHC-5236V CDRW/DVD Combo Drive

PSU: Akasa Ultra Quiet 460W Paxpower Active PFC ATX2.0 PSU

A couple of thoughts: If you don't plan on over clocking, skip the Gigabyte CPU cooler. The stock retail one works good and won't void the warranty on the CPU. Same goes for the ram, could go with the PC3200 if not OCing.

definitely want to change to another psu, like enermax, xclio, etc. refer to power supply guide for more appropriate brands. ditto for the cooler. if you;re not overclocking then stock will do you fine. otherwise id get the thermalright xp 120 or xp 90 along with arctic silver 5.

Akasa happens to be a high quality power supply, Nav. Just because you have never heard of it, do some research before making a statement like that.

The best ram match for that system is DDR2 533 - that 667 Ballistix is overkill.

I would consider a DVD burner instead of that combo drive.

Indeed, they're not that expensive.
Talking about expensive: if you're planning on gaming, AMD is a better choice than Intel: cheaper and better performance.
And I heard to NEVER get an MSI motherboard.
