I Built a computer on a Sata2 ASRock Mother board, http://www.asrockamerica.com/Products/939DSATA2.htm
3700 AMD 64 939 socket, WD2500KS SATA2 6800 GS EVGA (GeForce) 500W power supply When I Booted computer for the 1st time it had multiple beeps, I checked all the connections and tried again, it does nothing, keyboard not registering. What things should I check when I can't even get to BIOS? |

First: Try connecting only the CPU, Fan, and Ram with the motherboard.
Second: Unplug everything, and replug in with manuals to make sure your connecting to the right connectors. Does anything work? does your cpu fan spin? |

Well made progress but what now?
Hello and thanks for the help folks! Ok I took the MOBO out of the case and left only 1 stick of my 3200 400 in it. hooked up only the video card and the CPU fan as suggested here http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=132409 and shorted the power button and got into the BIOS on the monitor! Does the mean the MOBO is good? Please explain what I should do now and again THANKS!

Yes, the core components you just tested with are good. Put the rest of the ram in and test again. If it's still good, then put the motherboard back in the case and test yet again. Still good? Continue adding components.

Well I'll be
MOBO back in case and started with dvd rom and booted OK. Then floppy and while in BIOS made dvd rom 1st devise and floppy second with HDD last boot. After floppy devise botted ok again! The hooked up HDD to sata 2 controller onboard and booted ok. The other stick of memory was then put back in and guess what? Boot FAILED! Took second stick out again and it boots ok! I bought 2 sticks bundled together of Patriot memory equalling 1 GB. I took the 1 stick that booted ok out and put the other stick in its its place and it booted ok so memory sticks must be ok but the second slot is bad? Is this correct? And I say again thank you kindly!!!!

I'd RMA the motherboard if I were you. Asrock isn't exactly a high quality manufacturer and that may not be the only thing that's going to fail. Take advantage of what warranty you do have.
