assembly

1-Would you suggest installing all the RAM modules or just one, during initial set-up? I will have 4- 512 MB modules. 2- During initial installation of components, should I wait to install a wireless PCI adapter or other networking gear ? 3- I have seen instructions on removing the memory before installing the video card. does this hold true for all installations?

HI stymie222,

Welcome to PC Mechanic !!

1) Installing all memory sticks first is OK.
2) If adding a whole bunch of addons, I like to get the box up and running first, then install the components one at a time.
3) I've never heard of pulling memory sticks before adding a vid card, and I've never run into any problems installing vid cards with the system fully populated with RAM.

HTH

1 1 stick is less likely to cause problems
2 Install the extra stuff after the OS is up and running
3 that is usually the other way around, remove the video card before installing RAM so that you have enough clearance to do it
