Question First build

hey, i need to build a new gaming pc. the only problem is, i have no idea what kinds of parts to put in it. I would like to go in the direction of AMD, and my budget in 700 usd or less. i already have graphics card(nvidia nx 6200 tc), cd, dvd, and floppy drives, but i dont know much about motherboards and that stuff. BTW, the site i want ot buy parts from is Newegg.com.

Since you are thinking in the direction of AMD already I am going to suggest no less the the XP 64bit 3700 processor.

If I would building right now, I believe that is the processor I would go for.

I would probably go with on of the Asus Motherboards with the Nvidia chipset.
Honestly I have not checked out the 64bit supported motherboards in a while

Here are some suggestions:

Asus A8N5X Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131569

Athlon 3700+ CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103539

1GB DDR400 RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145440

Seagate 120GB SATA HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148039

Antec Case with Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129163

Windows XP Home: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16837102059

The total for that comes to $637. If you are a big gamer, you may want to save up a bit for a new card. The 6200 is a bit underpowered for today's games.
