First build just want to double check
First off this PC will be used for gaming namely World of Warcraft and F.E.A.R. atm. One question about the ram if I buy a second stick of the same kind is it gonna run in dual channel? On a side note I would like to be able to record gameplay from WOW and create videos(if you know of something that would make a tremendous difference please suggest but I am trying to build this for around $800). As far as hard drive goes I have a 80gb seagate I was gonna reuse any other comments welcome. Thanks ahead of time for the help.

Yes, you should buy ram in dual channel kits. Low latency ram is not needed with the Athlon 64 memory architecture, value ram works just as well.
That is not a suitable power supply for a PCI-E build. It only has a single +12v rail at 18 amps and is not a true ATX 2.0 unit, it's a converted 20 pin. eVGA recommends a MINIMUM 450 watt power supply for a 7800GT. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103937 |
