screen messarge
putting first computer together,starts up but cannot go on because message on screen,message is NTLDR is missing.can some one help me out?

Have you installed Windows yet or not? What are the system specs?
That error means that the Windows installation is somehow damaged. |

That's a normal message if the hard drive is not bootable (which it won't be if you have not installed Windows yet) and you don't have a bootable floppy or CD in the drive.

ntldr missing means that it cannot find it on the hard drive, the fact that it is showing that means that a nt os has been installed at one time, otherwise you would get the no bootable drive found error,
I would say that you may have a bad hard drive or you may need to format the drive and reinstall everything, if that does not fix it then the drive is bad. |

Depends on the bios, bailey. I've seen that on brand new machines with brand new components when you simply fire them up with no bootable device connected. I've also seen it when there's a unbootable floppy in the drive and the floppy is first in the boot order - even if the hard drive IS bootable.
