Power supply!?

Hey guys, I need some help
I was starting to build my computer and i ran into a problem
-I installed the cpu
-I installed the fan/heatsink
-I installed the memory
-mounted the motherboard to the case
Then I was going to attach the power supply....
The MB that I have (ASUS A8N5X) calls for a 24 pin power hookup but the cable that I have coming from the Power supply is only 20 pins...

I'm pretty sure this means a need a new power supply but I just wanted to get some opinions on what i did wrong when purchasing this stuff and what not...

here are links to the stuff i got

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811147001

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131569

Thanks in advance

The quality of that Rosewill power supply is questionable. Since you are still in the process of building, I would replace it now with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103937 which has 24pins and more importantly, is much better quality.

Yes you have to be careful about power supplies in general. They tend to give very funny wattages especially if the brand is not good. If you need to get a good power supply, then you should always go for a brand name and check (and double check) the wattage with the retailer.

I've been tricked a number of times because I wanted to save money on the power supply.

Incidentally, this article may help you out if you're trying to install power supplies:
