Smile new built parts ?s.

Ok, what you guys recommend about this parts for my new system.

Processor.
amd athlon 64 3500
soket 754

Ram.
CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered System Memory Model VS1GB400C3 –

Mobos.

Option 1

BIOSTAR NF4 4X-A7 Socket 754 NVIDIA nForce4 4X ATX AMD Motherboard – Retail

Option2

DFI nF4X Infinity Socket 754 NVIDIA nForce4-4X ATX AMD Motherboard –
Retail

eVGA 128-P2-N352-TX Geforce 6600LE 128MB 64-bit DDR PCI Express x16 Video Card – Retail

I will used my old hard drive I just have two months with it.
Wdc- wd 800bb 80-gig, 7200

And I have brand new a
Samsung dvd-rw ide dual layer.
Samsung Cdr-w as second option.

I will buy a recommended case with psu.

This system budget is $500.00 of course with out taxes.

Any suggestions please.

I would go socket 939, not 754.

I agree with glc, use a Socket 939. The 939 boards are newer technology, not terribly more money, and offer more upgradeability into the future.

Very good choice. Also, you'd get a little boost from going with a dual channel RAM kit. (2 512MB sticks)

The A8N5X has 4 slots, so you could add another 2x 512 later if you needed.

Looks ok except for the power supply. There is no way that a 450w PSU and case are quality when they cost $38.

If you like the case itself, get it, but toss the power supply. Replace it with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103936

Good power supplies cost extra, but its worth it in the end.

No Samsung. Unreliable. Get Lite-On. Corsair Value Select ram is a better deal. eVGA is a better manufacturer than XFX. WD drives are okay as long as they are SATA - their IDE drives have been having some issues.

No Samsung opticals, please. Make sure the WD is SATA, not IDE.

ok, i can change the dvd, but no the wd hd, because is the hard drive that i am using so i was thinking to use the same, a least for a little while.

so i what i can do if i will have problem with my hd?.
i am think to order the parts tonight and pick them up tomorrow.
but i can wait until tomorrow if necesary.

You just took a very nice system and replaced parts with inferior parts. Asus is better than Gigabyte, eVGA is better than XFX, the Antec PSU is better than an Aspire - should I continue?
