New build is not working ! Help Please !

As some of you might now I asked for advice on this forum on my new build, now I got all my parts and I assmebled everything but I have a problem.
After everything was put together I hooked up my new comp. and everything looks like working just fine green light is on, on motherboard, fans are working, fan on graphic card is working so I assume that graphic card its self is working BUT on my monitor there is nothing but that screen that shows up when you turn monitor on without turning PC itself, black with the little blue box in the middle(for those that are not familiar), I was holding DEL key but nothing and also it looks like my CD-R is not working either even though I checked it few times just to make sure thats connected properly.
Does anyone know what might be a problem? Please help me !

I went over all the suggestions but still nothing. I even got the motherboard out of the case and assembled everything outside but its still the same. Motherboard light is on CPU fan is working, graphic card fan is working but there is nothing on the screen. I would think that something might be wrong with my graphic card but as soon as I turn motherboard off, monitor turns off too.
I also checked memory and its placed correctly, PCU also, power supply and all the jumpers and everything seem to be fine, but when I turn the power on and touch starters with my screw driver there is nothing on the screen except that blue box that shows when you plug in the monitor without turning your PC on.
I would appreciate any kind of help ! Thank You !

It sounds to me like you have a drive cable upside down.

Sorry I did not read the second post close enough.

Do you have the 4 prong pluged into the MB?

Just throwing some questions out in case this might jog something. How is the monitor hooked up - SVGA or HDMI? Looks like your MOBO is PCI-E capable - is it firmly seated and is it compatible with your graphics card?

Ok here is where Im at this point...
After lots of trouble I manage to get into the bios, and I strarted instaling the windows but after a while there is a message that says something like this:
windows has to shoot down your computer becase of an error
check your hard drive for viruses (hard drive is new) .....
Did anyone encounter the same problem before and what might be a solution ?
My friend told me that I'll probably have to download some kind of boot disk for my hard drive and instal that on motherboard before I could be able to complet a bios.
Does anyone know anything about that one ?
I really appreciate all your help guys

Go into the BIOS and disable the boot sector anti-virus option.

Wow, thanks for that link, Kodmaster. Very helpful.

My video problem magically disappeared. Last night it wasn't working -- today I came home with new ideas on things to do to try and fix it, but when I turned it on, everything was working just fine. No idea what changed.

Now I'm just working on getting it to read my windows disk -- that link kodmaster provided looks helpful. =)

Hey there !
Im sorry I didn't reply before but yeah I finally get my rig working and its GREAT ! Im lovin it ! Im happy! Ok I know Im getting little insane but its a first build bare with me

Ok my problem was:
1. One of my memory sticks was not working.
2. Main problem was my dvd burner, I could not instal my windows because burner had a hard time recongnizing it, so I had to use my old CD Drive and instal all my stuff with CD Drive and then I switched them again and everything is working fine.

About the problem on with screen: I WAS DUMB AND DID NOT CONNECT EVERYTHING THE WAY THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE CONNECTED !

Thanks everyone on your help putting this rig together !
