Building multimedia computer - thoughts?

I want something I can use to replace my previous desktop, my television, dvd/cd player, and also use to play games and do multimedia production (i have to do picture, video, and sound editing for school, as well as web production like flash). Here's the build I've configured on Newegg:

ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce SPP 100 ATX AMD Mobo
AMD Athlon 64 4000+ (San Diego core)
CORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB (2x1GB) DDR 400 PC 3200 Unbuffered System Memory
2x Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250 GB 7200 RPM SATA II HDD's
XFX PVT70FUDE7 GeForce 7800GTX 256MB GDDR3 PCI-Ex16 Video Card
Hauppauge WinTV PVR 350 PCI TV/FM Tuner
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS PCI Sound Card
Samsung 244t-Black 24" 6ms LCD Monitor
COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UW Black Aluminum Case
Antec SmartPower 2.0 SP-500 ATX12V 500w PSU

I'm also re-using a few parts from my current desktop, such as the DVD-R drive and the 3.5" floppy.

Any comments or suggestions?

Since you're going to do multimedia production I'd make the processor dual core, this is one place where it would pay off.
An X2 3800+ will fit within the budget for the Athlon 64 4000+ and get the multimedia stuff done even faster as well as playing your games.

You might want to look at the Media Center edition of Windows and see if it has features that would be good for your school stuff that you could use.

Everything looks great. I agree with pam's CPU suggestion - alot of multimedia software is multithreaded. The X2 will probably pay off more than the single core.
