Can i put a PCI graphics card into a PCI-E slot?

Im just about to get on building a PC for the first time, and i need a temporary solution for my graphics card, as i wont be able to get one for a couple of months. I have a PCI one lying around, could i use this in a PCI-E slot to tide me over? Thanks in advance.

No you can't, but your motherboard should have standard pci slots that you can put it in.
