Quick question.

When installing the heat sink fan on to the heat sink should it be blowing air into the heat sink or blowing away from it into the case?

Thanks in advance.

Most often blowing to the heatsink. There has been test run and they work decent in either direction.

Yeah, you'll want the fan blowing down. Typically it's the sticker side down.

I'm not sure how well heatsinks work with the fans going the other way. I do know that the Thermalright heatsinks work either way because of their design. But the general rule of thumb is, blowing down into the heatsink.

Someone here awhile back said the stock heatsink/fan combo that comes with most AMD chips have the fan blowing away from the heatsink, but all the ones I've ever seen have been blowing down into it. Somehow I've always felt you'd get better airflow by having it blow the air down into it too, but who knows. *shrugs*
