Can't get video output.

Just built a machine for a friend, this is what I went with:

ThermalTake Case
ThermalTake 480W PSU
Asus A8N Sli MoBo
AMD 64 X2 4200+ CPU
Zalman Heatsink
eVGA 7800GT PCIe Graphics
2GB DDR400 Mushkin RAM
Soundblaster X-Fi Platinum Sound Card
37GB Raptor
300GB Caviar
DVD Burner and DVD Rom...

So I assmble it all, boot it up and I can't get any display. No output whatsoever. Fan on the card is spinning, CPU fan is spinning, case fans, PSU fans, all spinning -- no beeps or notifications at all either. So, I tool with it a bit, try it on another monitor, no luck, try the other DVI-out port, no luck, switch the card to the other PCIe slot, no luck, then I pull my Chaintech 6600GT PCIe card out of my machine and try it all over again, no such luck -- NOTHING.

Any ideas?

Follow the instructions in this thread:

Have you connected the additional 4-pin power connector to the motherboard, as well as the main 24-pin?

Yeah, the 4 pin is connected, the mobo also has a spot for another power connecter, they call it the EZPlug or soemthing, just a regular PSU connecter that you would use on a CDRom or something, that's plugged too.

I've tried it with both of those connected and non connected in both configs, same thing.

I'm stripping it and reassembling now.

OK bud this is a bit of a long shot but when i built my 1st pc i done the same as you eveything on and humming but nothing working all i did was to undo the screws that hold the M/board to the case half a turn or so and then away it went ,Otherwise all you can do is check all conections and made sure you have no dead leads ie;check the dvi/vga cable does work good luck mate

Isnt that EZplug used only for a SLI setup? Try it without that plugged in
