What do you think about my new build?

I'm planning a new build and I want to know what you think about it. I'm not a serious gamer, but like to do some every now and then. This will also be my first build and I already have all the software I'm gonna use. I really don't plan on using 2 video cards either and the onboard audio will do just fine. Will a non sli powersupply work with a video card that has sli? Will a non sli motherboard support an sli video card if you only use one video card.

My only suggestions are switching to an SATA harddrive and looking at Logitech speakers. SATA is a bit faster and has a smaller cable. Logitech has some nice speakers for a small budget.

Otherwise, it all looks good to me. Your power supply will be fine for that setup.

Yes, a non-sli power supply and motherboard will work with a single sli video card. The ones on your list are quality brands and should be fine.
You might need a floppy drive at some point in the setup. or later on for loading drivers, sata controller, diagnostics, system recovery etc..
For the operating system, the OEM version of XP with SP2 should be fine.
Ram: Run that motherboard through Corsairs configurator or check at Asus(either the QVL download link on the product page or in the manual) to be sure what you order is compatible. 2 x 512 would run in dual channel for a little better performance, and not all boards support all 1Gb modules.
