USB connections

My motherboard has 2 places for plugging in USB cables. The board came with a front and rear USB panel. I also have 2 USB ports on the front of my Computer case. I cannot find a "Y" adapter to use internally to plug in this third or fourth cable. Any ideas where I can find one?

The Rear USB should be made onto the MOBO and not require a plugin. The front USB wiring from the case will plug into one connector on the MOBO. Where are the other USB wires coming from?
Excuse me if I am misunderstanding your question.

The intel MB has only 2 sockets. It came with 2 devices-1 plug that runs the back ports. 1- plug for the front panel that includes fire wire, audio, and 2 USB ports. How can I use the ones built into the case?

My board also has only 2 places for pluging in USB. My case has 2 USB ports in front(on top), and 4 in back.
The 4 in back areconnected to the MB, no cable needed. One cable connects the 2 on top along with a firewire, and I use the other for a firewire in back. Im having a hard time understanding your problem. More details please.

By back ports, do you mean those integrated into the mobo or on a bracket that mounts in an I/O opening? If you need the extra usb's and have no provision for extras, you'll need to buy a USB add on pci card with additional headers for plugging in the cables.

Yes the Intel board came with a pair of extra USB's that mount in the I/O opening. So I need to purchase a PCI card that has extra plug-ins for USB cable? The USB ports from the LIAN-LI case each have a 10 pin connector also a 3 pin conn. labeled vcc2, usb2+, usb2- and a single ground. will the PCI card have provisions for these?

Decide whether you want the front or extra rear ports hooked up - and just connect those. You should have 4 ports on the port block on the rear already - how many USB devices do you have?

I really dont have enough devices to use all of the ports . Just wanted to know how to do it for the fututre. I would like to use the ones in the front of the case, since I dont have to open the door to access them. I can't figure out where those smaller connectors go on the motherboard. Could they be for LED lighting?

Those go on the motherboard USB headers. They are for the front USB ports.
