PSU Question
I will putting together a computer for the first time. My build will utilize the PCI x16 for the Video card, PCI x1 for a TV Tuner, and the PCI x4 for another Tv tuner. I looked at a bunch of PSU's and I don't see any that have more than two PCI express Power Connectors. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817104014
This is the link to the PSU that I was originally going to purchase. I did notice that the Video card that I have chosen includes a hard drive power dongle to PCI-E 6 pin adapter. Will this allow me to use one of the HDD power connectors on the PSU to power the Video card and then leave the other two 6 pin PCI express connectors for my two TV tuners. If so, will I still have enough HDD connectors available for My two HDD's and a possible third down the road. My biggest worry is getting a PSU that won't have all the connections for the components I am putting into my build. My proposed Build includes: MOBO: Asus A8N-E CPU: AMD 64 3700+ RAM: OCZ Enhanced Latency 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory (2-3-2-5) HDD1: Western Digital Raptor 10k 36.7GB 3.5" Serial ATA150 HDD2: Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive GPU: eVGA Geforce 7800GTX OPT: NEC Black IDE/ATAPI DVD Burner Model ND-3550A – OEM PSU: FSP Group (Fortron Source) FX600-GLN ATX12V/ EPS12V 600W CASE: SilverStone Lascala SST-LC17 HTPC Case TV Tuner Cards: (2) PowerColor T55EP03 Theater 550 PRO TV Tuner, PCI Express (1) VBOX Cat's Eye DTA-150 ATSC Terrestrial HDTV Receiver, PCI WLAN: GIGABYTE GN-WPKG PCI Wireless Adapter FDD: ALPS Black 1.44MB 3.5" Internal Floppy Drive Model DF354H121F - OEM OS: Windows XP Home SP2 PERIPH: Logitech Cordless Desktop MX3100 2-Tone RF Wireless Keyboard/Mouse |

The tuner cards do not have external power jacks, you only need one PCI-E power connector. If you run out of 4 pin Molex connectors, you can get Y-splitters.
