Cool New Build, Check This Out!!

Im looking at building a gaming rig, i also do video editing/dvd burning. I want to do it as cheap as possible, I dont really wanna go over $1000. So if you know of cheaper components that wont effect the quality, please let me know.

Its just the box, not the complete system.

Here are the components Im looking at getting. I need to know if they are good choices, or if there are better alternatives around my price range? and I also need to know if all of the components are compatible with each other?

Well staying at a $1,000 with that set-up won't be a problem. A 120GB hard drive will be about $65, and a good DVD burner can be had for $40. I wouldn't change the core of that at all. Maybe look around at cases. You might be able to shave $20 - $25 with anither case if you need to. It's a pretty solid start, and you can always add another hard drive in a few months if space is an issue.

Edit - Please keep replies to one thread TORichards. If you are still talking about the same project, you don't need to start another thread. You will probobly get a warning from a Mod about the tri-post.
