I'm in the process of building a new computer, but I've ran into something while I was shpping around.
There have been a few reviews that if you use an Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe in a Lian Li V series (mobo is upside down) the board will overheat. There have also been reviews stating against that. Does anyone here know exactly if it does or doesnt? |

Some kind of overheating could be an issue due to the layout of the board and orientation of it in the inverted position in the case. May not be the mobo itself but could be to the video card(s).

Actually, that board uses heatpipes to cool the board. The pipes contain a liquid that boils and rises from the source of the heat up to the cooling fins for dissappation...then the liquid cools, condenses, and falls back down to the heat source and it repeats itself. I think they coat the pipes with some 'wicking' material that should allow the liquid to rise and fall independent of gravity (much like water traveling up a flower stem, going against gravity). But I could still see the board overheating if the pipes aren't working as efficiently.

Would you recommend I use something different?
