HDD install

Have just finished builing my new comp and have installed all of my system files and utilities on an 80Gig Western Digital HDD. I have also got an 120Gig Maxtor with a lot of data that i saved off my old computer on it. Whenever i try to boot the system up with the 80G set as a master and 120G as a slave it wont get past the BIOS screen, it detects the two drives and then looks for a cd to boot off. Have got all 4 of the available updates off the ECS website so dont think it is the drivers... Any ideas as to what might be going wrong?

System spec:
P4 3.4MHz HT
ECS RS400-A motherboard
512 DDR400 PNY
Gainward BLISS GeForce 7800GT "Goes Like Hell" 512MB GDDR3 PCI-E
80Gig Western Digital HDD
DVD-RW (poached from a Dell)
Jeantech Apollo JN8005 case

Try setting both drives to CS (cable select).
