help on first build
Hi all.. I built this computer about a week ago and finally turned it on today... For some reason it comes up to the Biostar splash screen.. I hit delete and it goes to bios/setup... after about 10 seconds the keyboard just quits responding.. I have tried usb, wireless/usb, and ps2 (2 of them) and they all do the same.. If i dont hit delete at that screen it comes up to the award bios page that lists all the specs... Also if I am able to "beat the clock" and change the boot list to cd rom to install windows xp, when the computer reboots it acts like it reboot but the monitor is black likes its off or asleep.. only things connected to back of comp is monitor and keyboard... any suggestions to any of this? any thing else i need to explain? thanks for the help everyone...
biostar p4m80-m4 motherboard 1 gb corsair value ram benq 1655 dvdr celeron d 2.93 ghz no graphics card or any of that yet.. waiting til i get ti to work first lol... old monitor from the comp im using now.. dell keyboard, emachines keyboard, and dynex keyboards. thank you very very much.. |

The case should have a little speaker mounted in the front. The speaker leads should be with the other case leads(pwr,HD led, etc).
