I would wait a month or so to see whether there are any problems with it.

I don't think they will have any problems because nvidia didn't change much about the card. It pretty much a 7800 with some tweaks and they are in such tight competition with ATI they aren't gonna release something that will have problems and let ATI take the lead in 3D graphics.

To be honest, if you wait too long (like a month) there'll be something new out and you'll want to get that, and then if you wait again...you'll never settle on anything. Still, you might take a look reviews to see if there were any problems.... (in the short term anyways)

the 7900 is there purely because of the rivalry between ATi and Nvidia. (ATi released the 1900 and so 7900 comes out). If you wnat to save some money, go get two 7800gt's, and put them in sli. I guarentee you wont notice the differece.

You can get a single card that will blow away a pair of 7800GT's for a lot less money, not to speak of the cost of the SLI-certified power supply to go along with them.

I think NVIDIA's trouble is image quality. ATI's latest Radeons - X1800 and X1900 - have better overall image quality available, and with better looking pixels always desirable when performance is the same, you'd have to really like 7900 for other reasons to want to select it.
