Dual-boot printer install issues

My new build does dual-boot: I have one for Internet use, and one for my audio workstation use. I installed printer drivers in my Internet system, and didn't install them in my DAW system. Still, when I start the computer, and switch to the DAW system, it will look for some printer files, then tell me that the printer isn't ready.

Is this because the printer is attached (USB) to the computer? If so, is there anything I can do to scold the DAW's system into ignoring that?

Thanks,

Nick

Maybe someone else knows a way but my thinking is that as long as the printer is cable connected and powered on, it will be "discovered" each time you boot to the DAW system. Even if you Delete it from the Printers area, it will come back again. Only way I can think of is unplugging the usb cable before booting to the DAW system.

That's what I was afraid of.

Thanks,

Nick

Turning off the printer's power will also make it not seen.
