CD/DVD Drive-Sound Connection Reqd?
I have just finished assembling my first PC, following the excellent advice on this site. Just a quick question concerning the above drive - I believe it may be an OEM version that I have bought, as nothing has come with it - do I need a cable for the sound, to plug into the motherboard (onboard sound) from the drive, and if so, where would I get one from and/or exactly what is the cable called?

If I'm not mistaken, you really don't need to connect the wire anymore.
Nowadays you can play CD music directly without any connection to the sound card. But if I have a spare cable, I'll just plug it in, just incase.
