2nd Build Budget Computer

Hey Guys,

I successfully built my first computer awhile ago, and now, I'm in the process of building another one for someone else. Well, at least hopefully. So i was just wondering if you guys can help me out by checking to see if these parts i chose are compatible with each other and if they are reliable parts. I don't really have a specific budget, but it needs to be as cheap as it can be. Its only going to be used for basic computer things such as homework/microsoft word and the internet. Please let me know if these parts are okay. Thank you!
Any suggestions are welcomed.

That's pretty cheap - but I'd do a total revamp. You can do a LOT better for very little additional cost.

1. A 0.6mm steel case is VERY flimsy. Here's a decent case that comes with a decent power supply.

2. Good choice of processor.

3. I wouldn't use a 848P based board for a 775 build. Why not a more up to date quality board with onboard video, kill 2 birds with one stone? This one has a PCI-E slot for a future upgrade if desired.

4. 256mb ram will be bog slow - go for 512mb.

5. Unnecessary.

6. Unnecessary.

7. A DVD burner is not much more than a combo drive.

8. Bad, relatively slow drive. Go SATA and double the size.

How does all this compare pricewise?
