Motherboard

Thanks. Tell me what you guys think. Im going to use this PC for gaming, video/picture editting, watching videos, and the other basic needs like homework, etc. etc. My budget is 800 dollars. I have the keyboard, mouse, monitor, printer, and speakers taken care of. I just need a new tower. Also, after you guys look at those parts, do you reccomend on buying an internal capture card in it? Im thinking the ATI TV Wonder Pro, but Ill take any reccomendations. I tried to include everything in the sticky, if I left something out, I apologize. Thanks. Looks good but I see a few things:
You should try switching your harddrive to one with a 16MB cache, instead of 8MB. try this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822144701 Also, it might be safer to put out a little more money for the PSU. Forton makes great units and might be enough to power your current card, but if you upgrade - 450W isnt going to be enough. Try the Antec TP 550W: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103931 Last edited by MakeYourslf2012; 04-08-2006 at 11:47 AM. |

Save some cash on your memory by going for 2GB of Corsair Value Select.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145579 Why not get a DVD writer for just a little extra? Lite-on would be my suggested brand. FK

That is a good burner. The link in your first post is a DVDROM, which reads DVDs but won't burn them.
I agree with the other suggestions. Drop the Samsung hard drive and go with the Western Digital. Corsair ValueSelect is excellent quality ram. Your mobo/cpu/case/video card all look fine.

The Fortron will work fine, but if you plan on future upgrades, it would be a good idea to go for the Antec 550.
