Problem w/new build

Hello,
I just built a new system and am now wondering if I neglected something in terms of compatability. What I have is

MOBO
- ASUS A8N-SLI 939
Proc.
- AMD 64 X2 3800 Manchester (dual-core)
RAM
- Corsair - 1Gx2 3200c2pt
Case
- Antec Lifestyle 450 watt
HD
- WD Caviar 200GB 7200 RPM

It works somewhat ok except that I get the blue screen of death every now and then - memory dump. Also, weird errors come up for example, I tried to update itunes and when I open it, it thinks the file is corrupt - it isn't. The same thing happens with other programs as well. So I updated the drivers and I did a mem test where everything turned out fine. But I still have the same problems. Maybe I overlooked something as far as compatability with the above components. I suppose there could be a problem with the BIOS as well - I'm trying to make a boot-disk to check that.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Run chkdisk on your hard drive and is that power supply SLI approved?
Even if you're not running dual video cards (And what video card are you running?) that power supply could still be having trouble with the SLI motherboard.

Event viewer? My video card is a eVGA GF 7600GT 256-P2. I checked around and haven't found any problems with the motherboard and the Antec 450W power supply.

Send a message via AIM to Alaron
How to check your Event Viewer:

Control Panel>Administrative Services>Event Viewer.

Look for events that correspond to the time of the BSODs.

I checked the event viewer but nothing corresponds to the errors I get with certain programs. And wth the BSOD - it just gives a notice that windows recovered from a bug-check, after the fact. I'm not really sure what to do with that.

Thanks,
Cooley

A bug check?
If those are Dr.Watson notices it's a good chance that you have some new stealthed variant of CoolWebSearch.
Have you done a full check for spyware/trojans?

Yeah, it said the system has re-booted from a bugcheck. I don't think it has anything to do with spyware/trojans because it first happened before I even connected to the internet. The message also refers to the memory dump at the end - A dump was saved in C:\\Windows....

Post the saved file so we can see what's going on.
