If you want to go for an SLI build, you will need to get a power supply on this list:
http://www.slizone.com/object/slizon..._powersupplies Case is really your choice...you are the one that has to look at it. Antec, Thermaltake, and Lian-Li are some good quality cases...There isn't much difference between SATA 1.5Gb/s and SATA 3Gb/s (sometimes incorrectly called SATA II - which is the SATA standards organization). Don't bother with the sound card, the motherboard has pretty good onboard sound. I don't think the sound card will sound any better. For a few bucks more, you can get this hard drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822144701 It's cache (buffer) is twice as large and should speed things up some. Don't forget your RAM. I'd recommend some Corsair Value Select. You'll need DDR400 - and get a matched pair of it (ie, 2 x 512MB sticks). I'd go for the A64 X2 over the Opteron. You'll also need an OS - Win XP Home OEM is fine. And you'll need an optical drive of some sort. A DVD-RW from NEC or LITE-ON is a good choice.

Here is a link to the Antec 550: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103931
I recommend buying from Newegg.com. Their prices are much better then the oemdepot. OEM would charge you $120 for that 550w.
