Question POST Failed

hi,
i build this pc myself a few years back and today the cmos memory got restored due to the cmos battery.
i did a change to the cmos battery and my pc didn't went to the POST test.

i started to dismantle everything and try running it without the casing.
it did boot up to the POST there. but when i switch off and on again, it didn't even go to the POST.

i gave up and assemble everything back and try switching on again, but to no avail.
and i tried this method by "holding delete key and powering on" and it manage to go to POST.
im wonder why is this so weird?

and it happens to the other PC i build too. i build this PC which my sis is using right now and sometimes it don't even go to POST. i don't know why.

can anyone help/explain on this?

If the board has a set of BIOS reset pins, try resetting the BIOS that way to get a clean default reset.
