I know how to build 486s/Pentium1: what about latest-tech pcs?

Im learning pc repair/mounting but so far i have practised mounting only 486 and pentium pcs.
I wanted to know if there any differences or special tips i should have in mind when building a high-end pc from scratch now (for the first time).

Things have definitely changed since the days of 486s. I would recommend reading through our own BYOPC guide: http://www.pcmech.com/byopc/ or even purchasing our book: http://www.pcmech.com/store/byopcbook.htm More research and reading on the web can't hurt either.

And ask any questions you have here.
