My first Built System

Well I had a Dell Dimension 8300. Surprisingly for being two years old it still held up with the best of them with a few upgrades. Of course we all know you can only get so far with a Dell. After taking my Dell apart to see what it would take to put in a new case I some how, "which I don't know how because I was very careful" The mobo went bad. After much thought and finding that the CPU was still good. I put together a system around it. Cost $364.62 TigerDirect.com The new specs are in my signature. Here are some pictures.

Hey thanks. After building one for the first time I think next time I'm just going to go with the Ulta X connect PSU. It was a little bit of a job of hiding all those wires. Not sure if this is a good temp but my Fan controller usally says 30-34c for my CPU. Is that good?

30-34 is well within the acceptable range for the temperature.

Actually, I'd stay away from Ultra's X-Connect line. Ultra may be a somewhat reputable company, but that line of units is total garbage.

If you want a great modular power supply, you can try this:

Antec SmartPower 500W ATX 2.0 Modular PSU - $68.00USD

Thanks for the advice. Now that I have everthing running well I'm overclocking it just a little. I'm running at 3.2GHz and 37ºC right now. I did a stress test and after about a hour my FSB was about 500Mhz with no errors. 3.4GHz maybe in reach.
