Build troubles

I did just as yall stated, and all I have connected are the mobo, psu, cpu and RAM, turn it on and my monitor gets no display, but my mobo beeps every 3 seconds, anyone know what this symbolizes? I disconected my graphics card, and swapped it out with my other x1800, still the same problem, I also did the same with my ram, even re-seated my processor. Hmmm, I have my 24 pin and 8 pin connector in, so Im thinking this isnt the problem. Stats are as follows

AMD x2 4200+
ATI X1800XT
DFI LANPARTY CF-DR
512mb Corsair XMS RAM

Any help would be very appreciated, IVe been trying to get this rig up for over a week, before it didnt even beep, figured out to plug in the 8 pin connector, and now it beeps, which is a good sign, I hope.

This is the forum that specializes in DFI boards : http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/index.php?

Since it's an Award Bios those beeps mean memory :

Quote:
Award BIOS Beep Codes
Award BIOS uses beeps of varying duration. A long beep will typically last for 2 seconds while a short beep will last only 1 second. Award BIOS also uses beeps of different frequency to indicate critical errors. If an Award BIOS detects that the CPU is overheating it may play a high pitched repeating beep while the computer is running.
BEEP CODE MEANING POSSIBLE CAUSE
1 Long, 2 Short Video adapter failure Bad video adapter
Repeating (Endless loop) Memory error Bad memory or bad connection
1 Long, 3 Short Video adapter failure Bad video adapter or memory
High freq. beeps (while running) CPU is overheating CPU fan failure
Repeating High, Low beeps CPU failure Bad processor

Try another stick of memory and make sure it's a type DFI approves for your board.

edit : You can also try that memory in another slot(s) and check to see if you have to make any adjustments if you're running single channel.
