Question Compaq Presario cm0900

Ok totally confused!
I recieved a free compaq presarion cm0900 case . Can i upgrade the parts with my own or were all the parts specially made by compaq for compaq only parts?

any help would be greatly appreciated

With Compaq cases, the smaller the case, the more propritory were the parts that went in. If it is a mid or full tower, it's pretty close to a normal case.

Do you get just the case or a whole computer? You said you got a case, but then you said "upgrade the parts" which leads me to believe you got a whole computer...

If you just got a case, it might require some work to put a standard motherboard in and even then it'd probably be easier to just buy a new case...they're pretty dirt cheap. If you got a whole computer, it may not be worth any upgrades depending on it's age.
