Hi:
I read a few threads and see similar posts but did not seem to find what I was looking for. I just built a pc for my son, I have built systems before, but this one was with a 64 bit processor, ATI motherboard, etc. I find that the motherboard instructions aren't great especially with the frontal usb connectors, etc. I got everything together, it powers up, the hdd is going but, a black screen on the monitor. I tried the integrated graphics port as well as the PCI Express graphics card port. Both have the same results. All I get is a black screen with the light blinking on and off on the monitor. I can't think of anything else to try. I have never seen this before. Thanks, I really need some advice. Techgirl

It probably is your memory or processor not seated proper, or the processor heat sink fan not in proper, or something shorting out on the backside of the motherboard.
Cleck here: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=132409 and follow these new build troubleshooting steps and that should work it out for you..

Also check that the 2x2 auxiliary power connector is connected to the motherboard. Forgetting it would also give you the 'no video' issue.
