motherboard question

after talking to a friend about parts in his computer, we came to an arguement, whether pci express 16x is better than agp 8x. now ive seen and read articles saying that agp 8x is pretty good, but which is really better? also, if the motherboard im choosing has an nvidia nforce4 northbridge chipset, can i still run an ati video card?

Which one is "better" is irrelevant, because to the extent that there are differences between the two interfaces when running the exact same cards, they probably aren't noticeable to the average user. Since PCI Express is the future, however, it is better in terms of providing more of an upgrade path.

Yes, you can use an ATI video card on a nForce motherboard.
